Due to recent events surrounding COVID-19, it has been highlighted that the elderly are most likely to be affected. 

COVID-19 has lead to panic-buying and shortages of food items, toilet roll, hand sanitizer and other essentials at supermarkets. Whilst most of us can travel to a number of supermarkets within a wide range of distances, the elderly may not be able to do the same. 

The public can do their part by helping each other out where they can, however, this is not proving to be enough. All supermarkets must take rigorous action by protecting the elderly who should be allowed to shop for the things they need due to being the most at risk.
