The Issue

On a day when thousands, including myself, faced a tremendous inconvenience, Verizon Wireless, a company we've grown to depend on for seamless communication, failed disastrously. I experienced a grueling nine-hour network outage that not only disrupted my day but prevented many like me from accessing critical systems that rely on two-factor authentication via SMS. For those of us whose work hinges on constant connectivity, this was more than a mere inconvenience—it was paralyzing.

Adding to our frustrations, Verizon's customer service has deteriorated to the point where resolving basic issues has become an insurmountable challenge. It's as if the essence of customer service, a cornerstone of any telecommunications company, has been lost. And disturbing as this may be on its own, it becomes even more poignant considering that right before this massive outage, Verizon laid off 13,000 employees. These layoffs not only reflect poorly on the company's management but have undoubtedly contributed to the decline in service quality.

The head of this faltering ship is Dan Schulman, CEO of Verizon Wireless. Under his leadership, we've witnessed a decline in both customer service and the reliability of our services—two essential elements we rely on daily. It's apparent that the mismanagement and poor decision-making under his regime are some of the root causes of these mounting issues.

It's time for change. To restore Verizon to its former standard of excellence and ensure reliable communications services, I urge Verizon's board of directors to terminate Dan Schulman's tenure as CEO. A new leadership approach is warranted to prioritize customer satisfaction, stabilize job security, and resurrect a culture of reliability and trust.

Signing this petition is a demand for accountability from Verizon Wireless. Let's make it clear that the users and employees of Verizon deserve better.
