I am speaking out because my fiancé, a dedicated employee at KFC located at 444 Kennedy Memorial Dr, Waterville, Maine, is being harassed by her manager, Tyler Brooks. My fiancé and I are deeply affected by Tyler's actions, which have crossed both ethical and legal boundaries. This is personal to me because I am the transgender woman Tyler has targeted through derogatory remarks and hostile work environment creation.

Tyler Brooks has been reported for making unprofessional and dehumanizing comments about my identity, referring to me using transphobic slurs. He has made unacceptable and unsolicited sexual remarks towards my fiancé, including propositions that are inappropriate, unwelcomed, and abusive given his position of power. The ease in which Tyler Brooks commits these offenses. Suggests that he has been getting away with this for some time. And there are most likely victims of his out there, unheard.

Moreover, Tyler has been exploiting his staff by forcing them to work unpaid for the last three hours of their shifts. This wage theft is not only immoral, but it is illegal and has placed a grave financial strain on employees who can barely make ends meet. We cannot allow a manager to continue such abusive practices in our community.

This situation is not just about seeking justice for my fiancé and myself but also standing against the larger tide of anti-transgender sentiment swelling across our nation. Allowing Tyler Brooks to continue in his role without repercussion only supports a culture of discrimination and abuse that plagues marginalized communities.
