Before starting, I Augustus Evangelou, member of the church is bringing this issue to the attention of the church. These are issues that we have been dealing with for years and finally are at breaking points. Kristos Zagorianos has unfortunately been making things extremely difficult for the dancers and groups of the Cincinnati Panegyri at Holt Trinity Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. I bring this to attention with the at most respect, with that said though it is time for a change. I gather these signatures to request a new director. Myself and everyone who has signed this petition as members of the church feel Kristos is rude, arrogant, and selfish and although we can respect what he has done and the time he has put in, that does not make it okay how he acts and treats everyone. There is favoritism for the adult group since he is a dancing member of the group, and he plays the role of a dictator rather than allowing a space for happiness and cultural learnings. There is multiple people not partaking in dancing due to not wanting to deal with Kristos. Unfortunately the space we grew up loving and enjoying embracing our culture has turned into something we resent and do not want to deal with and Kristos is the common factor. I surely hope this allows for change and allows the church to take action. I also believe a rule should be implemented where if you are director you should not be allowed to dance in a group or teach a group to avoid favoritism. I want to apologize if anything above comes off harsh but I want to bring this forward with confidence and hope so can rely on my church to help us.
