The Issue

I am a resident of Cresson Township, where we've witnessed Deputy Pattison of our local police department misuse his privilege as an officer, repeatedly. Indeed, he is seen committing traffic violations for which he usually writes tickets - rolling through stop signs, failing to signal, and distracted driving - all whilst on duty.

Deputy Pattison's behavior is a blatant contradiction to the code of ethics that law enforcement officials are expected to uphold. His actions suggest an abuse of power and a disregard for the laws that he is trusted to enforce. A government official's first responsibility should be to protect and serve his or her community, unfortunately, from our experience, Deputy Pattison has demonstrated what can only be described as a "write and collect" mentality.

It is appalling to see such conduct from an individual who should be maintaining peace and order within our society. His refusal to abide by the same regulations he strictly enforces undermines public trust in our local law enforcement, and it paves the way for a culture of accountability and mistrust within our community.

We believe that the Cresson Township Police Department should embody the values of the community it serves, and this can only happen when individuals like Deputy Pattison are held accountable for their actions. Therefore, we urge the Police Department to terminate Deputy Pattison’s service.

We hope to see real change in our local law enforcement's conduct to renew our trust in the justice system. Sign this petition to stand against the misuse of power and to uphold the integrity of our local law enforcement officers.

Edit

After having had meaningful discussions with members of the community, during our flyer campaign today, and hearing the opinions of staple members of our beautiful community there some statements we'd like to address. First and foremost the actions of said deputy and this campaign does not make every officer bad. We have alot of upstanding state and local officers both current and former. Secondly we have heard alot of grievances from various staple members of our community and we stand firmly in the position that these grievances are heard and proven if applicable. We'd also like to add that although there's strong emotions regarding the matter no one should be targeting the deputy's personal off duty life and or family members. Further more we also ask everyone to please remain civil and refrain from valgur languages on the internet. At the end of the day, we all want to see positive change in our society.
