The Issue

My son is a student in a class where the teacher has been consistently emotionally and mentally abusive towards the students, particularly targeting those with disabilities. This teacher has violated the children's civil rights to a proper education by disregarding Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan, causing significant emotional distress. For the first 13 weeks of school, none of the children received the support or accommodations they were entitled to, resulting in failing grades for almost the entire class.

This issue isn't isolated to my child. Many parents have reported that their children come home feeling defeated, unsupported, and traumatized. Our children, who deserve a nurturing and supportive educational environment, are instead being subjected to negative experiences that hinder their academic and personal growth. Education is a right, not a privilege, and it is our responsibility to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

The negligence and outright emotional abuse of this teacher cannot be allowed to continue. Children with disabilities require special attention and tailored support to thrive, and ignoring these needs goes against everything we stand for as a community dedicated to inclusivity and fairness.

We need to take immediate action to terminate this teacher's employment and seek an educator who respects and upholds the rights of every student. Doing so will help restore the trust and safety our children need to excel in their learning environments and support children in developing confidence and a love for learning.

We call on the school board and district officials to investigate this matter thoroughly, provide support to the affected children, and ensure accountability for educators who fail to meet professional and ethical standards.

By signing this petition, you are joining us in the fight for our children's rights to receive a quality education free from abuse and neglect. We need your support to make this essential change. Please sign and share this petition to help make our school a better place for all students.
