§ 36-6-412. Gender
Currentness
It is the legislative intent that the gender of the party seeking to be the primary residential parent shall not give rise to a
presumption of parental fitness or cause a presumption in favor of or against such party.

Has a judge ruled the standard "every other weekend" visitation time for you just because you are a male or did not give a good reason as to why? He is in clear violation of this law. Fathers, we must start standing up for our rights. First of all, we are not "visitors" - we are parents and loving fathers. Anyone who uses a child as a pawn does not have moral authority to correctly discipline a child and therefore should not have the right to diminish the other parent's rights. The court of law should also not give power to one person (judge) to decide the fate of your child based on your gender alone.
