Research states an obvious medicinal benefit for psilocybin a.k.a “Magic Mushrooms” when consumed. After Oregon and DC have recently legalized them and it is being acknowledged more, I see no reason why it shouldn’t be legalized in the state of Tennessee or anywhere else for that matter. 

The introduction of this currently Schedule 1 controlled substance into the hands of more people would bring the following benefits to those interested:

• Decrease or even the cure of depression and anxiety alike
• A remedy for people struggling with PTSD
• Assistance with breaking addictions and dependencies
• Increased neurological functioning due to more communication between different areas of the brain
• Increased creativity 
• An entirely different market added to the state with new opportunities for everyone involved
