Why this petition matters

I have been a resident here for over 19 years. I have seen the community go through a lot of change but this time it was for the worst. After speaking with many of the residents I have learned we share the same concern about our once loved community. We no longer feel safe here. We all have tried to voice our concern to management but we continue to be unheard. Our new landlord has been nothing more than the landlord from hell. The things she is doing to residents is outrageous. Myself and many of the other residents will not be renewing our lease here if they do not find a replacement with someone who actually cares. She is a very difficult person to deal with and is very condescending, passive-aggressive, and hates being wrong. She speak to the tenants very poorly. She manipulates, she lies, and is careless about personal information. She have been targeting our elderly, disable, and low income residents. She has put 10 day notices on the elderly residence doors insinuating someone other than the residence is living in the home. She does not want these people to have visitors. The lease does not indicate no visitors are not allowed.
She is violating company policy by having residence cars towed who are legally parked and is not in violations of the community rules. She resides on the property and keeps the community pool closed, only her children are allowed to access the pool. She plays victim and writes false disturbance letters on residence and even went to the extent to contact the cooperate office to advise them not to answer certain phone calls. The manager of the leasing office does not seem to care about the behavior of this employee. The manager needs to be fired as well for not addressing this disturbing conduct. Furthermore it seems the cooperate office are continuously ignoring calls. We also feel our files are being mishandled. She gets very defensive when you start to ask billing questions. She delay your request for months and then provide you with altered documents. She tends to ignore important requests and only respond to what benefits her. She also has the maintenance men lurking around apartments without a work order. Something defiantly isn't right. I'm in hope someone will investigate this landlord and help our community force the property managers hand to do what’s right and replace her with someone who is professional, cares and knows how to communicate without hate.
