Tell the U.S. Military — No Strikes Near Iranian Schools
The Issue
A deadly missile explosion on February 28, 2026, destroyed an Iranian girls’ school in Minab, killing 175 civilians - mainly girl students.
Newly verified video and satellite evidence indicate that a Tomahawk cruise missile — a weapon used only by the U.S. military in this conflict — struck a compound adjacent to the school during war operations.
Hundreds were reportedly killed or wounded, most of them young students.
In war, civilian protection isn’t optional — it’s a legal and moral obligation. International humanitarian law protects schools and children from attack. Civilians, especially children at school, must never be placed in the line of fire because a target is nearby.
We call on the U.S. military, the Department of Defense, President Donald Trump, and Congress to:
- Adopt a strict policy banning strikes near schools, hospitals, and other civilian facilities.
- Require thorough, independent civilian-harm risk assessments before any strike is authorized.
- Immediately make public all findings from the ongoing investigation into the Minab school strike.
- Commit to stricter targeting safeguards and accountability measures to prevent future civilian casualties.
Children deserve protection, even in conflict. American force should be deployed with precision — not at the cost of innocent lives.
Add your name if you believe strikes must never endanger schools.
