Tell St. Johns County: Deny the Proposed Enclave development (ENCERT 26-01)
The Issue
The proposed Enclave Development (ENCERT 26-01 N. Palm Valley Rd.) would bring another large-scale residential development immediately adjacent to Twenty Mile and neighboring Ponte Vedra communities in northern St. Johns County.
While we respect private property rights, development should only move forward when it serves the public interest. Many residents believe this proposal would place additional strain on already congested roads, schools, emergency services, water resources, and public infrastructure while permanently eliminating valuable natural open space and wildlife habitat.
This is not simply about one neighborhood—it has the potential to affect residents throughout Twenty Mile, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach, Palm Valley, and surrounding areas.
Recent changes to Florida law have streamlined the review process for certain agricultural enclave developments, making community involvement more important than ever.
We are asking the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners to carefully evaluate this proposal and deny approval unless the applicant can clearly demonstrate that the project will not negatively impact surrounding communities, infrastructure, and natural resources.
Responsible growth should protect the quality of life that has made St. Johns County one of Florida’s most desirable places to live.
This petition reflects the opinions and concerns of residents regarding a pending land-use application. It is based on publicly available information and is intended to encourage public participation in the County’s review process.
