Tell NYS and Governor Cuomo you want PBM's out of NYS Medicaid program

In the current pharmacy reimbursement model, middlemen also called PBM's (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) such as CVS/Caremark, Optum Rx, Express Scripts, have been underpaying pharmacies and overcharging New York State for prescriptions. They are one of the reasons for the increased cost of medicines in NY and all over the country. PBM's that own their own pharmacies in NY such as CVS overpays itself and undercuts competition then sends their competitors letters to buy them out. Small pharmacies will close in near future if this allowed to continue. Communities all over the state will lose their trusted pharmacies and pillars of their towns. NY can save millions of dollars by not using PBM's. Tell Governor Cuomo and NYS that this has to change soon. West Virginia has already kicked them out, and saved an estimated $30 million, and other states will soon follow. If you want to support local businesses and save your community pharmacy, please sign this petition and tell NY that something must be done NOW!
