Tell NYC Rent Guidelines Board "NO" to Proposed 2022 Rent Stabilization Increases

The Issue

The NYC Rent Guidelines Board has proposed rent increases for tenants with rent stabilized leases. The Board recommends rent hikes of 2.7-4.5% for one-year leases and 4.3-9% for two-year leases to help NYC landlords as their operating costs increase.

This is wrong. Renters with stabilized leases should not have to bear the financial burden of both the pandemic economy and the unintended consequences of government response policies that property owners cite as major sources of income loss. This proposal goes expressly against the intent of the Cares Act, ARP, and Governor Hochul's moratorium ERAP. Please sign to tell the NYC Rent Guidelines Board "NO" to rent hikes.
