Tell MCPSS to keep the block schedule

The Issue

As a rising high- school senior in Mobile County, I was looking forward to a very stress-free senior year. I had worked very hard for this opportunity over my high school career. I was prepared for the opportunity to graduate mid year, as well having a  CO-OP block, but by having to take 7 classes all year, I am losing both of those options. I am also losing losing two of the nine classes I currently take per year, limiting my educational opportunities.

On top of that, I work at Publix, which leads my afternoons to be full already. I am very involved in and out of school, but having four core classes as well as 3 electives worth of homework all year will add to the stress in my life. Out schools preach positive mental health and how to reduce stress, but this choice is adding to the stress of most students and teachers. The reasoning students were given were not clear, and even teachers are not too happy with this decision as well.
