According to McDonalds South Africa call centre, the franchise is owned by a Muslim family and therefore has no scope to include pork menu items, like bacon in any of their restaurants country wide. After logging many requests, they are still eager to impose their Halaal dietary regime on the rest of South Africa, which is a majority Christian country. It is completely unethical that the Muslim minority family who just happen to own the McDonalds franchise in South Africa, feel they have the right to impose a Halaal menu on the majority non muslims by depriving us of delicious McDonalds staples like the world famous bacon cheese burger, bacon big tasty burger and other bacon burger staples that the USA and Europe enjoy. Sign the petition to get McDonalds South Africa to open at least one NON HALAAL restaurant in each of the countries major cities.
