Tell Idaho cities: Follow Boise and adopt the pride city emblem

The Issue

Boise just took a bold and compassionate step by making the rainbow pride flag one of its official city emblems. As Idaho’s ban on pride flags in government spaces took effect, city leaders acted—not by backing down, but by affirming the values of inclusion and community.

This wasn’t a stunt. It was a promise: that LGBTQ+ residents of Boise matter, and always will.

But Boise shouldn’t be the only city standing up right now. We’re calling on cities across Idaho—like Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Coeur d’Alene, Nampa, Sandpoint, and more—to join Boise and adopt the pride flag as an official city emblem.

Idaho’s state government may be trying to erase LGBTQ+ visibility in public spaces. But our cities can choose something better: affirmation, courage, and community pride.

We’ve already seen state leaders threaten enforcement and escalation. But when a flag stands for love, dignity, and acceptance, it’s worth defending.

Local governments must now decide what they stand for. Will they bow to political pressure—or rise to the moment and protect all their people?

Sign now to urge Idaho cities to make the pride flag part of their identity—and make sure every LGBTQ+ resident knows they belong.
