GLYMED skincare has been around decades, in June of 2020 it came to light that the founder had been posting racist public posts on her Facebook page, for years. The skincare community was outraged. GLYMED responded and said that she was gone and they were committed to learning and listening to restore our trust!

Their response:

Come to find out this last weekend (June 2023) weekend that not only was she at an event for them but their webpage heavily highlights her and says nothing but praise!

Nothing but praise for the founder and she’s obviously still involved with the company if she’s going to events!

If you want to condemn someone’s racist actions, you cannot support them in any way. You can’t have it both ways. It’s unclear if she still gets money from them even though she “stepped down” and now her SON runs the company.

And Christine still has GLYMED listed as her work…..

 

 

Anything regarding the founders past seems to be met with hostility and threats. Instead of listening or fixing anything. That means GLYMED isn’t listening and still supporting a racist who made her money on being one of the few companies to teach on skin of color! They think they could hide her for a couple years and bring her back and no one would be the wiser.

Well we didn’t forget! We feel lied to, tricked and deceived! Myself, along with many others, only starting using GLYMED after she was said to be gone. We would have never used the grand has we known any of this, we will not support a racist or a company that doesn’t condemn her actions. She’s either involved with the company or not, plain and simple!
