TRIAL STARTS ON AUG 21. WILL YOU BE THERE? On August 21 - 24 , the lawsuit to save City Park Golf Course from destruction goes to trial. The trial begins on Monday, August 21, Room 269 ( south end of building) , Denver City & County building ( 1437 Bannock St, Denver, CO 80202). It would be very helpful if you could attend and ask others to attend the trial or at least the Opening Statements on Monday morning, Aug. 21. They are scheduled to begin at 9 am but getting there early is a good idea because preliminary matters will be heard at 8:30 a.m. and if those are wrapped up quickly, Opening Arguments may begin. You are welcome to sit for any portion of the trial over the four days, but if you are wondering what would be the most supportive for our Plaintiffs, please try to attend the Opening Arguments by Attorney Aaron Goldhamer and the City Attorneys Monday morning. Those who are able to attend should enter and sit quietly on the Plaintiffs’ side of the Courtroom (the left side as you are facing the judge). You may wear a Save City Park Golf Course sticker on your clothes, but please do not bring signs, chat, or do anything that distracts the attorneys, the parties to the case, or the Judge from the important matter at hand.
