TODAY... PLEASE JOIN US at Denver City Council
We will find out today if Denver City Council will vote to approve contracts to begin work on the destruction of historic City Park Golf Course.
Will they decide to delay the vote until the outcome of our citizens lawsuit to stop the destruction of the park is known? The trial is set for August 21 - 24, 2017.
If these contracts are approved, we are afraid that Mayor Hancock could begin destroying 285 beautiful, old trees right away.
We recall his recent preemptive strike on Henzell Park when he destroyed an ecosystem based on a prairie dog colony that supported many birds of prey and began bulldozing in the park before citizen's lawsuit could be heard.
Will a council person ask for a delay until the citizens lawsuit to stop the destruction in CPGC is heard by Denver District Court on August 21 - 24 2017?
Will Councilwoman Stacie Gilmore recuse herself from the vote in view of the ethics complaint filed against her on August 11, by ex Councilwoman Cathy Donahue, alleging conflict of interest because Stacie's husband, Scott Gilmore is a Director at the Denver Department of Parks and Recreation, and is directly involved in and is a strong and public proponent of the proposed work at CPGC?
Please consider joining us at Denver City Council on Monday, August 14, at 5:30 ( arrive early to get through security and to get a seat ) in the Denver City and County Bldg. , City Council Chambers.
