Tell Big Cookware: We Don’t Want Forever Chemicals in our Homes

The Issue

Sign this petition if you agree that:

Forever chemicals do not belong in our cookware.

They do not belong in our kitchens.

They do not belong in our bodies.

They do not belong in our environment.

For decades, we’ve been told to accept them as “industry standard.”

That changes today.

As the founder and CEO of Caraway Home, and as a parent of two young children, I think constantly about what goes into the products we bring into our homes and trust around our families.

I founded Caraway in 2019 after getting sick from overheating a traditional non-stick pan and learning how the cookware industry really operates. What I found was unacceptable.

For too long, the cookware industry has relied on materials consumers never asked for, never fully understood, and were rarely given a clear alternative to.

So we built Caraway to prove there was a better way: high standards, clean materials, more transparency, rigorous testing, and no forever chemicals.

But this fight is bigger than Caraway. And it is bigger than cookware.

Every day, we are exposed to “forever chemicals,” a class of chemicals known as PFAS that do not easily break down in our environment or our bodies. They are found in drinking water, food packaging, clothing, household products, and have been detected in the blood of nearly every person. They also create lasting environmental damage, contaminating water, soil, wildlife, and communities for generations.

Across the country, more than 30 states have introduced legislation to regulate or ban PFAS in consumer products. Eight states have already moved to restrict PFAS in cookware. The tide is turning.

And now, Big Cookware is fighting back.

In 2025, Big Cookware sued to block Minnesota’s ban on intentionally added PFAS in cookware. A federal court dismissed the lawsuit.

Then, on February 13, 2026, two of the world’s largest cookware conglomerates—Groupe SEB and Meyer—filed a federal lawsuit against Caraway, a six-year-old brand working to help create a world without forever chemicals. Together, they represent more than 200 years of combined history, over $10 billion in revenue and more than 40,000 employees. Their brands include All-Clad, T-fal, Farberware, Rachael Ray, Anolon, Circulon, Hestan, and others.

We believe this lawsuit is an attempt to silence a smaller company for challenging an outdated industry, pushing for higher standards, and refusing to accept the status quo.

But families deserve better. And we are not backing down.

This petition is not just about Caraway or cookware. It is about every family that deserves transparency about the products they use every day, every company that should be expected to innovate instead of defending outdated industry standards, and every lawmaker who needs to hear clearly: consumers want forever chemicals out of their homes.

We refuse to accept a future where “forever” means lasting impact to our families, communities, and environment.

We are calling on cookware manufacturers, industry leaders, and legislators at the local, state, and federal levels to eliminate forever chemicals from household products.

Stand with us and sign the petition to help create the first generation of non-toxic homes—where clean products are the standard, not the exception.

TELL BIG COOKWARE: GET FOREVER CHEMICALS OUT OF OUR HOMES—FOR GOOD.
