We are a large family centered community here in Tlhabane West, Rustenburg. We are a working class community with almost every family consistent of school going children. 

We currently have no fiber coverage in this entire region. People rely on mobile network which is usually slow and more expensive in the long run. 

Given the global movement towards the 4th industrial revolution, we are afraid that we will be left behind.

In this day and age (i.e the Information Era), the internet is no longer a luxury. It is essential to daily living and closely linked to a better quality of life.

Our schools are still behind in terms of teaching students how to be tech savvy; so it is up to households to fill in the gaps. Access to an affordable and abundant internet service is essential for this task.

It has become a pressing issue since the COVID 19 pandemic. We have seen countless families loose their livelihood. For those families who have had to adapt their businesses or find new ways of making an income, the online world has proven to be abundant in ways in which people can move forward in a dignified manner.

In light of the above and in the spirit of Ubuntu, we urge and plea with network providers to consider Tlhabane West an area worthy of their services.
