The Queens Hotel in Newton Abbot has been left empty for a number of years and has been deteriorating and is becoming an eye-sore. A developer owns the property and wants to convert the building into apartments. This development will employ local trades people and will improve the appearance of one of the principal points of entry to the town and provide additional accommodation convenient for the town.

The property is opposite the train station and is a vital first impression for visitors.
