Glasgow is known for its vibrant culture and architectural beauty, but the Met Tower, prominently displaying its pink "People Make Glasgow" slogan, does not contribute to this image. Although it is a listed building, its outward appearance is generally seen as an eyesore. Removing it could not only beautify the city skyline but could also make room for a structure that better exemplifies the true spirit of Glasgow. Even though historic buildings can offer value, this does not seem to be the sentiment among many Glaswegians for the Met Tower. This is not a call for the destruction of heritage, but rather a plea for an architectural reincarnation that better represents Glasgow today.
