NMUSD Board of Education is bullying our teachers into a stranglehold. The superintendent is not listening to what the teacher’s union or the community want, even after he asked. About 61% of school level employees in the district want to keep the school calendar the same as it has been for years and 74.6% of the community do not want to start school before Labor Day. These numbers are from a survey the Board of Education took in 2017. Yet, they still want to change the calendar to start two weeks before Labor Day on August 24th.
We, the community, can make a change. Don’t believe the propaganda that Dr. Navarro our superintendent is feeding you! Let’s stand together.
