Regarding donations that were made to the Freedom Convoy 2022, the bank will reportedly "surrender to an Ontario court the money that had not been refunded by GoFundMe, totaling about $1 million, as well as some $400,000 the group had accepted through direct donations." They are doing this by first freezing access to two or more personal accounts holding much of the money. The fact that the bank is so easily caving in to this outrageous assault on freedom, while ignoring the safeguards on banking privacy, bodes ill for the future. If all a politician like Trudeau has to do is label a group he or she doesn't like with false, dangerous, and divisive labels, with no proof or evidence of illegal activity, in order for judges and banks to freeze their funds, NO ONE is safe! TD Bank has to hear strongly and forcefully from Canadians, perhaps even taking action to divest all of their assets in the TD Bank. Freedom-loving citizens cannot tolerate this intrusion into our financial affairs or the defamation and hamstringing of those who are fighting for the restoration of our rights and freedoms. This is ultimately about personal freedom, justice, defending Charter rights, and the protection of our democratic institutions and way of life against the powerful and arrogant ruling elite.
