Sun Tax: Stop the NSW governments' Solar Panel Tax. Tell the NSW Government to cancel the Tax that is due to commence on 1st July, 2025

This tax will impact both NSW residents with Rooftop Solar as well as business owners with solar panels on their premises. We need to TAKE ACTION NOW! before they Tax our feed-in Tariff.

The government cannot afford to lose this contribution. Therefore we are asking you to sign a pledge to disconnect your solar if the government insists on this unfair tax.

[A feed-in tariff (FIT) is a payment made by electricity retailers to customers for excess electricity generated by renewable energy sources, like solar panels, and exported back to the grid. In New South Wales (NSW), the FIT is usually a flat-rate payment per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of exported electricity.]

Our panels provide the grid with cheap, clean and renewable energy. It's a critical service we provide and thus we should continue to receive a fair feed-in tariff for the power we supply to the grid. 

Not only does the NSW governments increase the already high cost of living, it also discourages future homeowners from installing renewable energy on their rooftops. It's a step backwards for Australia, and it's unfair for those who have already invested large amounts of money into their rooftop solar.

But it's not all bad news. As in any scenario the people always have the power. Rooftop solar in NSW contributes a large amount of energy into the grid. The government cannot afford to lose this contribution. Therefore we are asking you to sign a pledge to disconnect your solar if the government insists on this unfair tax. If enough people sign up, the government will be forced to scrap the tax. This will not only be a win for homeowners and renewable energy, but also for democracy. Let's show ALL governments that we've had enough of their unjust taxes.
