Targets ordering system especially pre-orders are subject to be easily cleaned out by ordering bots and scalpers. Leaving nothing for the average shopper coming for store exclusives. This has happened on multiple occasions across different toy lines. Star Wars, GI Joe, Neca, Transformers, Power Ranger, even Ghostbusters.

The everyday collector doesn’t stand a chance in acquiring a product from Target pre-orders when under current set-up items are sold out in seconds to computers.

There is a simple fix to this and Hasbro has implemented it on their own personal store. If Hasbro can do it so can Target.

The solution is a Captcha.

This small addition to the ordering process will give everyone at least a chance to order a product rather than the product being sold out in seconds only to appear on EBay hours later for triple or quadruple the MSRP.

All are asking is for Target to make a simple addition to their pre-orders of collectibles and highly sought after products to help prevent scalping and price gouging. Maybe if we get enough signatures through the collecting community we can see this happen.
