Spanish Fork, Springville, and Payson, UT were three of the fastest growing Utah cities according to the 2012 US Census. Of 12 of the fastest growing Utah cities, 11 were in Utah County. If you are a resident of these cities or surrounding areas, the closest Target store is in Orem, UT -- a 20-45 minute drive, depending on the city you live in. Spanish Fork has a prime area of land near many other stores and restaurants that would be ideal for a Target store. This store could bring jobs to the area, help boost the state's economy, and would save time and money for the Target-lovers in the southern parts of Utah county. Whenever Target opens a new store, they offer educational and public safety grants, community service, donations to local food banks, etc to the LOCAL community. This would benefit our local area and our schools. Personally, I love Target's stylish, affordable, quality products, but as a busy mom, it is not convenient nor cost effective to make an hour round trip to the Orem store.
