Problem
For years, Geneseo's residents have suffered. Devoid of a nearby Target (the closest is approximately a half hour away by car), we are forced to shop at the dull Walmart. I believe it is a human right to have access to Target and I need to help get this cause noticed by those at the top.

Solution
We need the Target Corporation and the Town and Village of Geneseo to come together and work to eventually open a store, creating jobs and lighting up the lives of both permanent residents and the ever-shifting student population.

Personal story
My name is Robby Billings and, my entire life, I have had a Target within walking distance. This year, as a freshman at SUNY Geneseo, I don't. The closest Target is too far for an ordinary student with no car to make the trip, and this is a clear denial of what I personally hold to be the 31st human right: access to Target. In the past month, I have gone to Walmart more times than I did my entire life before coming to Geneseo. Recently, I have come to support various causes which I believe will help Americans. I have marched in Rochester, protested in DC, and now I turn my sight to what may be the most important mission of all: to guarantee to the future students and residents of Geneseo the existence of a Target in their general vicinity.
