Our students and dedicated staff in Oregon schools are in desperate need of additional support, yet our school districts are experiencing multi-million-dollar deficits. These financial issues are primarily due to declining school enrollment and the rising costs associated with unfunded state mandates.

With fewer resources and increased pressure to meet state requirements without additional funding, school districts are forced to make difficult decisions.  Educators are the backbone of our educational system, and they deserve our full support in creating safe, enriching learning environments. It’s crucial that we invest in our educators and ensure they have the resources they need to provide quality instruction and address the needs of every student.

We call on the state government to prioritize education by taping the Education Stability Fund, specifically to address unfunded state mandates.
