Lower CO2 Emission Levels with the increase of human population

The Issue

From 2006 to 2014, carbon emissions increased by almost 5 billion tons. The human population has grown exponentially from the year 2005 to the present. From 2020 to 2030 we can only expect that population to increase and I project that we will go from 7.5 billion to 8.5 billion in as little as 10 years. We can also expect our carbon emissions levels to follow the same trend seen in the past. As the human population goes up, our carbon emissions are raised as well.

These emissions hurt ecosystems and are one of the causes of the loss of animal habitats. When temperatures rise, ocean ice sheets melt. This event affects the animals who hunt on the ice, give birth, seek refuge from the water, etc. This fact is what causes animals to relocate to find more ice, or find a habitat that resembles their usual one, which can be hazardous to their health because they aren't used to their surroundings or the predators they discover.

That causes animals such as polar bears, seals, and even birds who depend on the ice to be at a loss. Humans are the main cause of animals losing habitats by doing things that make greenhouse gas levels irregular. A few of the many simple things we can change in our everyday routines to start personally lowering our co2 emissions include - washing clothes in cold water as much as you as opposed to hot -hang drying clothes instead of using a dryer, -driving in cruise control on long trips to save gas.

This is such a crucial problem that needs to be brought to the right people's attention because it can be fixed. When it is, it will save so many animal's lives and habitats, and make the world we live in a more enjoyable place to be.
