Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, but since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas), which produces heat-trapping gases. Malaysia, a newly industrializing country, is developing quickly, it has to contend with increasing carbon emissions generated. In this light, Malaysia’s development into a modern and sustainably managed industrial country requires a modern comprehensive environmental policy.

Everyone can help limit climate change. From the way we travel, to the electricity we use and the food we eat, we can make a difference. We urge everyone to start with these exemplary actions to help tackle the climate crisis:

1) Reduce the number of trips you take in your car by using public transport or carpool.
2) Install photovoltaic system on rooftop to harnessed electricity.
3) Change non-inverter air-conditioned to inverter type.
4) Avoid using gas-powered lawn and garden equipment.

There is so many way for us to do it and save the earth. The small things that we do will actually provide a biggest outcome when we all work together as a teamwork. Our politicians need a long-term plan to deal with it, for the sake of Earth and Malaysia.
