The White House’s decision to replace covid.gov and covidtests.gov with a page titled “Lab Leak. The True Origins of COVID-19” is both irresponsible and misleading. Instead of helping people access vital information about testing, treatment, and vaccines, the site promotes a single, disputed theory while ignoring the broader scientific consensus.

Leading scientists have reviewed the page and found that its claims are factually incorrect, misleading, or presented without proper context. This isn’t a good-faith effort to inform the public, it’s political messaging disguised as science.

The lab leak theory, while still under investigation, is far from settled. Meanwhile, the new site offers nothing to those still affected by COVID-19 or long COVID. Replacing trusted health portals with propaganda undermines public trust and leaves people without the resources they need.

We demand the removal of the “Lab Leak” page and the restoration of covid.gov and other essential public health websites. The public deserves accurate, evidence-based information—not partisan spin.
