Take Action: Help Enhance Support for San Diego's Homeless

The Issue

Every night, thousands of individuals in San Diego face homelessness, lacking access to basic needs such as safe shelter, healthcare, and opportunities for stable employment. The city is even going as far as making anti-homeless equipment and architecture such as benches that have spikes or curve to prevent them from being slept on. Our community cannot thrive when so many of its members are in distress. It’s time for us to come together to make a real difference.

If we continue to overlook the needs of the homeless, we risk the safety and health of thousands and the moral and social fabric of our community. By enhancing support services—increasing shelter capacities, expanding mental health support, and providing job training—we can drastically improve their quality of life. More than that, these changes will help reintegrate individuals back into society, benefiting everyone in San Diego.
