Our community has endured this situation for over four years, forcing us into a state of constant fear and sleepless nights. As parents, it is incredibly distressing to walk our children to school, only to have them exposed to individuals blatantly smoking crack cocaine in broad daylight. The authorities, despite numerous complaints, have so far been unable to restore peace and security to our streets, and this must change.

Late-night disruptions have become a regular occurrence, with noise keeping both adults and children awake into the early hours. This results in exhausted children attempting to focus in school, affecting their education and overall wellbeing. Beyond the noise, the safety of women has become a significant concern as they are often harassed, asked for money, and followed, causing feelings of fear and insecurity.

We are calling for the implementation of immediate measures to tackle these pressing issues. Firstly, stricter enforcement of laws against public drinking and drug use is imperative. This can be achieved by introducing on-the-spot fines for offenders caught drinking or causing a nuisance in public areas.
