Take action against Far-Left Radicalisation and Violence

Take action against Far-Left Radicalisation and Violence

The Issue

On 10 September 2025 in the United States, Charlie Kirk was assassinated. This tragic event should have been a time of national mourning — a moment to unite people across the political spectrum against political violence.

Instead, we’ve seen a disturbing trend: a radical minority openly celebrating his death. Even more worrying, this far-left extremist ideology has seeped into Australia and has been festering here for quite some time.

Every week, we witness politically motivated riots and violence in our capital cities. This is not democracy in action — it’s intimidation.

We are not calling to silence freedom of speech. In fact, the opposite is true: we are calling for the restoration of genuine, respectful debate in this country. Freedom of speech should mean open conversations, not threats, yelling, name-calling, or violence.

It is time to take a stand against political violence, no matter which side it comes from. Australia must not follow down the dangerous path of division and hatred. We deserve a country where disagreement does not make us enemies, and where differences of opinion are met with dialogue, not destruction.

We call on our leaders, community organisations, and everyday Australians to:

Publicly condemn far-left political violence, as we already know our leader condemn far-right ideology.
Promote respectful debate and protect freedom of speech without intimidation.
Ensure that violent extremist groups are held accountable for their actions.
Together, we can build a culture where disagreements are resolved through words, not violence.
