My personal journey has led me to a point where I can no longer remain silent about the issue of cyber bullying. It is not only a problem that affects me, but countless others who are subjected to online harassment every day.

According to data from the Cyberbullying Research Center, approximately 37% of young people between the ages of 12 and 17 have been bullied online (Hinduja & Patchin, 2020). This statistic is not just a number; it represents real individuals who are suffering in silence.

Cyber bullying can lead to serious emotional distress and has been linked with increased risk for depression, anxiety and even suicide (Patchin & Hinduja, 2010). Yet despite these alarming facts, there is still no comprehensive legislation or regulation in place that effectively addresses this issue.

We need stricter regulations on cyber bullying. We need laws that hold perpetrators accountable for their actions and platforms responsible for allowing such behavior on their sites. But we cannot achieve this without your help.
