Currently the school dress code for dances forbids girls from wearing sleeveless dresses. Many girls have already purchased semiformal dresses for their graduation and dance. They are being instructed to not show their shoulders and that they will need to cover them up.  We feel that this rule unfairly targets girls.  This dress code is policing girls clothing so as not to be distracting to boys.  Instead of shaming girls into covering up, we should teach boys to be gentlemen and respect girls.
