Geiger Montessori was designed, and built, to be a Pre-K through 8th grade school. Currently, Geiger is utilized as Pre-K through 5th grade. Our request is a transition to the intended Pre-K through 8th grade model. We propose Geiger add one to two completed 6th-8th grade classrooms in the 2015-2016 school year, with an eventual expansion (based in demand) to the four middle school classrooms that is was built to hold. We the undersigned pledge our support for Montessori education within the Tacoma Public Schools and the promised Pre-K-8th program at Geiger Montessori. By coming together WE can support every student every day.
