Convince Syn Sophia, formerly known as AKI, to launch a Kickstarter campaign to create a new AKI Pro Wrestling Game

The Issue

syn Sophia, the company formerly known as AKI, created a beloved series of pro wrestling games on the N64 that are commonly regarded by fans as the best wrestling games ever made (from WCW vs NWO: World Tour to WWF No Mercy).  Unfortunately, syn Sophia no longer owns the WWE license so they can't make officially licensed games.  Regardless, fans have been emailing and petitioning syn Sophia to make a new wrestling game for years because their games were so fun to play.  syn Sophia's response has always been that they'd love to make a new wrestling game, but they just don't have a publisher or the money to do it.  Well thanks to Kickstarter and the internet, this is a dream that can now become reality!

1)  The biggest major road block, MONEY, can now be overcome with Kickstarter!

Thanks to Kickstarter, syn Sophia doesn't need a third party backer.  The internet can pick up the tab!  Keiji Inafune, the creator of Megaman, was able to raise 3.8 million dollars to make a new game similar to Megaman, Mighty No. 9, without Capcom or the Megaman license.  The internet's proven that as long as people want something, they're willing to fund its creation without the need for a major publisher.

2) You don't need a license!

Keiji Inafune didn't have the franchise rights for Megaman, but fans still funded his project anyway.  His fans showed that they don't care about the theme as long as the gameplay's solid.  syn Sophia could make any kind of generic "AKI Pro Wrestling" game and fans would still support it because it's fun to play.  As long as there's a solid create-a-wrestler mode that lets players make whoever they want, it truly doesn't matter whether there's a license or not in a wrestling game.  Players can simply create whoever they want within the game.

3) You don't need a distributor!

Companies can now self-publish games to online stores like the Nintendo eShop, the Sony Playstation Store, and XBox Live Arcade.  A retail distributor is not required!  If indie studios can self-publish their games for almost nothing, a professional company like syn Sophia can also do it!

And that's really all there is to it!  This is one of the biggest no brainers in the video game industry.  It's a giant pile of money sitting right there in front of you, syn Sophia.  Just ask us to give you money in a Kickstarter and we'll give it to you.  To everyone reading this, please sign this petition and spread it around to every fan you know and let syn Sophia know that you would support the kickstarter campaign and the game itself.  There's no reason not to.  It's better than sitting around doing nothing.  So please sign this petition to motivate them to give it a try. Thank you.

-Sincerely, a big pro wrestling video game fan

P.S.  Please feel free to email syn Sophia about these issues, they accept email suggestions on their website:  http://www.syn-sophia.co.jp/  Make sure to mention Kickstarter and self publishing on the eShop/PStore since their response is usually "we have no publisher".
