Problem:

We all are very well aware of the effects of plastic on our environment. Knowingly or unknowingly we add to the menace of plastic every day. There are few areas which are beyond our control, but there are few areas where we can do something to reduce plastic use. One such area is the cutlery(straws, spoons, forks, tissues, etc.) we get with the online food delivery by companies like Swiggy, Uber Eats, Ola, FreshMenu, etc. Most of the time we order food at our home and do not need the plastic or any kind of cutlery provided with the food. Zomato already has the option to opt-out of the cutlery but other applications do not. Zomato alone serves an average of 21 million orders per month, imagine how much plastic we can save by one simple button!!

I and my friend Swasidhant Chowdhury have written multiple emails to each of these companies, but nothing satisfactory has been done yet, so I seek support from you all to help me in pursuing these companies to save the earth.

Demand:

1. Provide the option to opt-out of cutlery for every food order.

2. Train the delivery persons and restaurants to adhere to this request.

What can you do:
