It is important for our community not to have this passed. Hamilton mill is a residential community and is not zoned O-I (office-institution) Allowing a 50 unit personal care facility into our community will change the zoning. This could enable other large property owners a chance to rezone within our Hamilton mill community. Secondly, Jim Moore road and other surrounding roads will have more congestion due to the 5o unit personal care facility. 50 people will require medical attention, visitors, food, medical supplies and full time staff. The building height may be as tall as 35 feet. 35 feet could possibly be 3 stories. Finally, this could add a risk to our children and their safety.
