We all have a moral obligation to help people live in dignity, in peace and freedom. We have a duty to extend humanity to every single person and to help better the circumstances of those who are at imminent threat of death, cruelty and torture.
Let us all unite in the positive spirit of good and humanity. Sign this petition to enable all the Middle Eastern Christians whose freedoms are being violated find asylum and protection in Sweden and the EU.
The petition is not to get all the Christians out of the Middle East. It is to help provide a safety net for them and the option of asylum should they want it.
As a member of a Middle Eastern Christian family, I can say that we do not truly emigrate from - we continue to have strong ties to our homelands, and we even still live there - we simply have acquired another citizenship in addition to our birth nationality.
Our families sought safety and left to obtain safety via another citizenship that provides protection. Is it not then right that they should have this possibility made open to them?
It is not right to decline to sign on the premise of not wanting to emptying the Middle East of Christians - this is to enable the provision of an option of safety to them.
Sign and help freedom stay a fundamental right and not a choice.
In hope and faith, let us go forth.
