Stop any further serious accidents on A483

Stop any further serious accidents on A483
The Issue
Hello everyone. My name is Hayleigh and I live on the farm located on the busy road A483, which is the dual carriageway between Penllergear roundabout and tesco Fforestfach.
I would like to raise safety concerns about this particular stretch of road as a family member was involved in an accident.
It took over an hour to cut him out of the car and is now in intensive care. He has potentially sustained life changing injuries and is seriously lucky to be alive.
The council are refusing to do anything as it's "too expensive", only when there have been a certain amount of casulties/deaths will it be worth the cost. Do we have to wait for someone to actually die? Can that be prevented? Think of the hundreds of thousands that will be coming out of the taxpayers money to cover all the emergency services that night, the doctors on scene, the clean up crew, both drivers are now in intensive care and undergoing extreme medical care. Its seems the council are happy for taxpayers to fork out but refuse to pay what they have estimated £64k to install cameras. How many families need to be ruined before they decide how much a life is worth??
Please, Please sign this petition so the council will install speed cameras and/or crash barriers on this part of the road before something happens that could have been prevented.
Attached is a photo of the severity of last night, he is so incredibly lucky to be alive.
Something needs to happen before someone innocent is killed, let's do something now.
Thank you in advance for your support xx
