Petition to keep and protect the Confederate Mounument located in front of the Surry County Courthouse. This monument is owned by the Daughters of the Confederacy and stands to honor all of the calvarymen who fought for the rights of Southerners to not be exploited for their wares by the Northern textilers and shippers.
