The Issue

In Today's digital age, almost everything  relies on technology, education and businesses to communication and healthcare. That's why the Computer System Servicing (CSS) strand under the TVL track is important than ever before.

As Senior High School Students in CSS strand at Cogtong National High School, we are learning valuable skills like Assembling Computer Systems, Troubleshooting Hardware and Software issues, and Setting up Basic Network. This skills are not just useful, they are essential for our future.

The Challenge We Face

Even though we are learning skills that are very useful, CSS students often face challenges, such as :

  • Old or non-working computer units.
  • Lack of proper tools and materials for practice.
  • Limited internet access for research and training.
  • Low awareness about Tech-Voc programs in the community.

How can we fully develop our skills if we don't have the tools to train properly?

What We're Advocating For

We are calling for better support for CSS students at Cogtong National High School and other public schools like ours.

We encourage :

  • Local Government officials to invest more on Tech-Voc programs.
  • Private Individuals and Businesses donates useable computer parts or tools.
  • School Leaders and Teachers to push for National Certificate like NC II.
  • Our fellow Students and Parents to respect, support, and value TVL students.

How Can You Help ?

Anyone can part in this advocacy, whether you're a student, teacher, parents, or community member. Here are some ways you can make a difference :

  • Raise awareness by sharing this blog or post with your friends, family, and social network to see the importance of Tech-Voc education.
  • Organize or support computer donation drives within your community or school. Even outdated parts can be refurbished and put to good use for students to practice on.
  • Promote respect for Tech-Voc students by encouraging your community members to value and support the hard work that goes into learning teach skills.
  • Join or support local initiatives that push for better facilities, tools, internet access for CSS students. Whether through petitions, campaigns, or community partnerships, every action counts.

Our Future workforce depends on it !

As CSS students we are not just "Learning Computer", we are preparing to become future Technicians, IT Professionals, and Digital Problem-Solvers, with the right support, we can help build a more connected, skilled, and digital Philippines.

Let's invest in our future, starting with the students of Cogtong National High School.
