Support Victims of Domestic Violence: Help Mothers Regain their Voices

Support Victims of Domestic Violence: Help Mothers Regain their Voices
The Issue
Millions of women across the globe are victims of domestic violence, forced into silence and isolation due to fear and manipulation. One such woman is a dedicated mother, with a restraining order against her abusive ex-husband, cannot reach out to him to facilitate their children's needs. This woman, like so many others, is stuck in a debilitating situation without any support. This lack of support extends to communication, the most basic human right.
Sadly, her story is far from unique. The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in 3 women globally have experienced physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime. This silent epidemic disempowers, isolates, and sidelines victims. Therefore, it is imperative to recognize and support such women and provide them with a platform to be heard.
We need your support to help this mother, and many others like her, find her voice again. Let's call on lawmakers, organizations dealing with domestic violence, and the community at large to recognize their plight and extend support. We demand swifter legal processes, detailed victim protection plans, and supportive resources for such women. Sign this petition to let them know they are not alone, they are seen, they are heard, and they matter.
