The Southridge pool has been unusable since February 2022 due to leaks and has been drained. Our middle school and high school swimmers must use pools at other schools to train. Our school swimming program has a history of many students excelling at swimming and diving, and representing our school at the state competition level and beyond. In addition, many Southridge students have received college swimming/diving scholarships to represent our school at the college level. Along with this use for the pool, many community members have fond memories of family night at the pool, lap swimming for exercise, water aerobics, lifeguard training, and PE time learning to swim and play water sports, like water polo.  Prior to being drained not only were Southridge High school and Middle School programs using the pool, but Forest Park high school and middle school teams and the YMCA swim team used it. Please help support upgrades to the Southridge pool so our students and families can get back to enjoying this community asset! Representatives will be speaking at the school board meeting on March 16th, 2023 at 5:30.
