I am pleased to extend my support to the 2024 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant that the Western Springs Park District is applying for to make improvements to Spring Rock Park. The Park District has had discussions with the community and from that information gathered, a master plan has been prepared to make much needed improvements. It is essential that the Park District continue to upgrade and re-develop their park spaces. Spring Rock Park is the signature park that is a gem for the community of Western Springs. At 41 acres in size, it truly serves as the park that offers recreation activities for all walks of life. The grant project will be part of our reinvestment into keeping Spring Rock Park a pillar park and open space within the Village. The elements that we are applying for include 8 lighted pickleball courts, lights for Matt Orth baseball field, and pathway exercise stations & mile markers.  Thank you.
