We want safer, healthier, calmer streets for everyone.

We want streets where we and our children can walk, cycle and run without fear. 

We want a year with no road deaths or serious injuries. You should not have to risk your life to ride to work. Letting your children walk to the park should not fill you with fear.  

So we want Reading - like Oxford, London, Leeds, Oslo and Helsinki - to subscribe to "Vision Zero". Vision Zero is the idea that no one should be killed or seriously injured by a road collision. 

Vision Zero works. It creates safer, happier, calmer streets. Oslo - twice the size of Reading - had zero pedestrian and cyclist deaths in 2023. Major cities around the world, like London, are signing up to this. We want Reading to, too.
